Leonard Tourné Gallery is seeking interns for its New York location at 463 Broome Street in Soho. We are looking for bright and motivated individuals to help with marketing, public relations, and sales department and to assist the director with administrative tasks.

Qualifications:
• Positive attitude and proven work ethic
• Excellent written and oral communications skills, great phone etiquette, and outgoing personality
• Self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility
• Knowledge of blogging, Twitter, Facebook, tumblr and other social networking tools
• Self-directed, detail-oriented, organized problem solver who can work in an entrepreneurial environment
• Knowledge of contemporary art industry
• Working towards BA in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Fine Arts, or Art History (preferred but not required)

Job Description:
You will assist the marketing director and gallery director and be responsible for activities related to branding and outbound/inbound marketing including:
• Maintaining social networking accounts (Twitter, Blogger, Tumblr, etc.)
• Updating website
• Internet/email marketing
• Event planning and management
• Developing and maintaining client relationships
• Developing marketing materials (e.g. presentations and press kits)

Strong preference will be given to applicants with editorial experience.

This is not a paid internship, however, if goals are reached, interns will receive a commission on sales. Based on performance, there is a possibility that interns will be hired after six months. We are flexible on start and end dates, but preference will be given to applicants seeking long-term opportunities.
