Leonard Tourné Gallery and Spoon invite you to the opening reception of "BRIT" by Colombian artist Vianey, with music by Xander (Sheik 'n' Beik) and Carlos (Low Pitch Orchestra). The exhibition opens at Leonard Tourné Gallery on Thursday, June 14, and will run until Thursday, July 5, before moving to London.
Just in time for the Diamond Jubilee and the 2012 Olympic Games, Vianey's "BRIT" is a series of twelve paintings dedicated to British culture--from music to the Monarchy.
Vianey, currently based in New York, is the creator of "COOL ART," a movement described by the artist as a new language in art history that combines pop art and modern contemporary art.
He has collaborated with designer Mario Hernandez to create VIANEY, a line of handbags and leather goods. His work, entitled "Liberty," was chosen to be featured on a postcard commemorating the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York.
Since 2004, Vianey's paintings have been exhibited widely in New York, Florida, and Colombia.
We look forward to seeing you this Thursday.
